The internet and the Diaspora

The internet will be our portal to RUs and visitors at home in the Caribbean, in the Diaspora and the wider world. Through this facility we will be able to reach, and be of service, to the entire Diaspora wherever in the world you live and work. Happily, with this facility, both “time and distance are dead” and are no longer hindrances to communication and productivity. All that are necessary are:

a) A computer
b) Internet connection
c) A commitment to become your vision of the ‘YOU’ whom you want to become.

Wherever this commitment resides, all the other requirements will fall into place

Presently, all the Essays are written by yours truly (Lloyd A Vermont Sr.). In time, however, we will have Guest Writers who will share the same passion of seeing you, and members of the Diaspora take your rightful place among the savers, investors and wealth builders of this world.
Visitors, and in particular our Registered Users (RUs) will notice that I have made my own investment portfolio public in two important respects. Firstly, I have disclosed the stocks in which I hold positions i.e. own shares. Secondly, I have disclosed the current relative make up of the portfolio i.e. the proportion in Stocks, Money market funds (MMF), Bonds etc. This investment mix is called “asset allocation” See Glossary Guest writers will be encouraged to subscribe to this policy of disclosure about their own portfolios.

We do this because we believe it is important to demonstrate that we have been practicing what we are now preaching! All our communication, whether written or spoken, are done in an easy to digest style to engage your interest as new entrants (to the fields of self actualization and wealth creation strategies) while, simultaneously, retaining the interest of those who are already familiar with either or both topics.

The bottom-line is to stimulate you, your family, friends and acquaintances (through the leadership and encouragement of our site) to transform your own lives into the person you most want to become.

The main delivery medium for the Essays is the internet. Each week, you, and all Registered Users (RU) will be sent one action-oriented Essay. The focus will either be on self-actualization or wealth building strategies.

Whereas This Week's Commentary is available to you and all visitors (and is down-loadable), the archived Essays are available only to Registered Users. This is why you, your family members, friends and acquaintances are invited to become Registered Users. Archived essays in the Investor Education Learning Centre are segregated into 15 categories for the convenience of our Users each of whom will be in different age ranges (cohorts) and have different investment objectives and what the investment trade calls “risk profile”.
